Javi Serrano makes his debut in his new colours in a Galician weekend: Clásica de Pascua de Padrón and Betanzos

Double Galician commitment with the end of a Spanish Cup already clarified and a the one that would have been one of the great novelties in the Calendar of the Spanish Cup Elite and U23 of the season 2020 has ended up specifying its debut a year later… and in another date beyond the originally planned date.

The great Galician race, an event with more than half a century of tradition, has not wanted to be out of the Cup for the second consecutive year and for this reason, within the modifications and postponements that happened in the first months of the year, it has been relocated to this first Saturday of August.

The route has been increased to 150 kilometres, with five scoring climbs and five non-punctuated ones that will make the race tougher. The Alto de Pereira will be crowned at kilometre 126 and shortly afterwards, the Alto de Fornarís, which is not a scoring climb. There will be some steep slopes ahead, but these difficulties are likely to be the key points for the offensives and the selection of the group.

For the last race of the Spanish Cup, Javi Serrano from Madrid, who makes his debut with the U23 team after his arrival was announced a couple of weeks ago, is the great novelty of a team completed by the Catalan Arnau Gilabert, the Spaniard Fernando Tercero, the Asturians Edu Pérez-Landaluce and Yago Segovia and the Italian riders Andrea Montoli and Davide Piganzoli.

The following day, with a view to taking part in the Vuelta a la Comarca Brigantina with start and finish in the town of Betanzos in A Coruña, the Cantabrian Álvaro García joins the previous seven riders.
