Eleazar Jimenez second in Zumaia

The race weekend started in an unbeatable way for the junior team. In the first race of the weekend in the Basque Country Eleazar Jimenez took the second place in a very tight sprint.

Zumaia was the first race that the junior riders had to face and as Isaac Cantón, the team sports director, mentioned in the previous days, the objective was to race as a team. Said and done, from the beginning the team was very active and Pablo Leno was in the breakaway of the day along with two other riders. His teammates were aware to the movements from the bunch to protect the breakaway that would reach the first ramps of Garate.

After the climb to the decisive point of the day, three riders stood out with very few kilometres to the finish line. Eleazar Jimenez managed to be among the best and finally took second place in a tight sprint.

Isaac Cantón: “they knew how to race, being aware from the start, which was our objective. The negative part was the fall of Hector Teruel. He had to receive stitches for a small cut, but it was nothing serious”.
