Back in the race, back on the attack
Prueba Villafranca Ordizia (1.1)
Well done, well done David Martin. The very young Spanish talent, in his first year as a Pro, never misses an opportunity to show off: and even on the day that marked EOLO-KOMETA’s return to racing, he didn’t hold back. Able to enter the breakaway that animated the day, Martin shined by winning the flying sprint and holding on until the peloton – pulled by Astana, UAE and EF – sewed up the disadvantage. In the end, Simon Yates triumphed, able to surprise everyone on the last climb to cross the finish line in Ordizia alone. Bravo to our Fedeli, who finished 11th at the final finish line.
Davìd Martin: “I was really looking forward to the race and felt great right away. Jesus Hernandez told us that we had to be in the breakaway for the day and I saw that there was a chance and I took it. I tried to give visibility to the team and help my teammates, although I would have liked to hold on and be in the final part with them. But I am satisfied with today’s feelings and the desire to do well in the next races.”
