Vittoria and Polti Kometa continue their journey to success (and tubeless) together
Team Polti Kometa is excited to extend its partnership with Vittoria into 2024. For the eighth consecutive year, Vittoria outfits Polti Kometa’s AURUM bicycles with its premium Corsa tires, continuing a collaboration that has spanned over seven years. Vittoria’s skilled technicians and Polti Kometa’s mechanics join forces to ensure riders experience optimal performance and the best possible riding experience.
Polti Kometa embarks once again on The Ride Ahead with Vittoria, encapsulating values such as courage, curiosity, and optimism in both human and athletic realms. The partnership also emphasizes innovation, sustainability, and technical excellence in the features and functionality of Vittoria’s products.
Throughout 2024 Vittoria will provide unwavering support to Polti Kometa’s mechanics and riders across all races. Gearing up for a competitive year, with new additions strengthening the line-up, in this season Fundacion Contador’s ProTeam is 20 riders strong: almost half of them are italian and the overall average age is 25. From the experience of Maestri, Garosio, new signings Fabbro and colombian Restrepo, up to the youth of neo-pro De Cassan and home-grown talents such as Piganzoli and spanish Tercero and Muñoz. A good mix, ready to showcase its value throughout a multi-continent calendar: a lot of Europe, especially Italy (e.g. Laigueglia and Tour of the Alps, waiting for Giro’s and other World Tour races’ wild-cards) and Spain (Valenciana, Andalucia, GP Indurain…) as well as France (Limousin and more), Belgium, Netherlands, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia and Turkey; but also trips to Africa (Rwanda) and Asia (Taiwan, Qinghai Lake).

Polti Kometa relies on the Vittoria Corsa PRO, representing the pinnacle of evolution in World Tour and Pro Tour riders’ tire preferences. These tires boast a supple and flexible cotton casing, along with a graphene and silica rubber compound optimized for the lowest possible rolling resistance.
Polti Kometa will choose the Corsa PRO Control for tackling the most extreme weather and road conditions, and Corsa PRO Speed for time trials. In training sessions, the athletes ride on Corsa N.EXT tubeless-ready 28mm tires, benefitting from high cornering grip, low rolling resistance, and the ultra-durable construction of a reliable daily workhorse.
