A week full of competition in Spain

The EOLO KOMETA faces from this Tuesday three races and a total of four days of competition in Spain. The Villafranca de Ordizia race, the Vuelta a Castilla y León and the Circuito de Getxo make up an intense calendar to close the month of July, which also coincides with the Sazka Tour in the Czech Republic.
A return to competition after the concentration in Bormio, which has served to prepare very carefully this final part of the season, with an intense and selected calendar, which undoubtedly motivates all cyclists in order to seek to maintain the great results achieved.
In Ordizia, the race faces its 100th edition with the traditional 165-kilometre route that includes three laps of the 32-kilometre circuit with the Abaltzisketa climb, to which is added in the last two laps the ascent to Altzo with its short length but tough ramps that will for sure break up the group in search of the winner.
The Vuelta a Castilla y León will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, with two very different days. The first with start and finish in Soria, with 169 kilometres, the climbs to Piqueras and Santa Inés in the first part while several steep slopes in the last 20 kilometres will try to prevent a sprint finish. The second stage between Íscar and Segovia, through the Sierra de Guadarrama with the climbs of Navacerrada and Navafría, will be tougher. An opportunity for climbers provided that the race is selected before the 35 flat kilometres through Torrecaballeros before the finish line.
The competitive week will close the Getxo Circuit, the 193-kilometre Biscayan race divided into seven laps with the Arkarlanda climbs and in the fifth and last lap the famous Pike Bidea climb, which was decisive in the first stage of the last Tour de France. A day of endurance and attitude in the final part to raise their arms on the climb to the finish line, with a top level participation.
Fernando Tercero, Francesco Gavazzi, Alex Martin, sprinter David Martin, Alessandro Fancellu, Javier Serrano and Diego Pablo Sevilla are lined up for these three competitions. A block with the great majority of young cyclists, together with the experience of Gavazzi as road captain.

We will compete in the hardest races with Fernando Tercero, as a climber and the most suitable rider for these profiles; while I trust in Javi Serrano for the sprint finish in Castilla y León. With the rest of the cyclists we will try to be seen in the breakaways, fight for classifications such as the mountains and the intermediate, without forgetting to collaborate with the leaders with the support of Gavazzi in the key days. I’m excited about the team because I think we’re going to do a great job”.
