The Challenge Montaña Central arrives with a team time trial and Carabanzo and Faya de los Lobos in the limelight
Sergio Calvo, Gerard Cano, Miguel Domínguez, Balint Feldhoffer, Samuel Flórez, Balazs Pollner and Manuel Sanroma are the seven riders with whom the youth structure of the Contador Foundation will take part in a new edition of the Challenge Montaña Central de Asturias that this time gains a day of competition. A seven riders in their second year in the category.
In contrast to previous editions in which a high finish was programmed, this time the great novelty comes from the hand of a team time trial, discipline that will be disputed in the first sector of the day on Saturday.
There will also be climbs. Carabanzo, and its descent, will play a major role, with a presence on two days (on the second and, on two occasions, on the fourth), and in the evening sector on Saturday the cyclists will have to manage the ramps of the Faya de los Lobos.
The stages.
Thursday 18: Stage 1: Cabañaquinta – Moreda de Aller (87.3 km).
Friday 19: Stage 2: Figaredo – Mieres del Camín (102.1 km).
Saturday 20: Stage 3 (sector 1): Pola de Laviana – Soto de Agués (13.7 km TTT).
Saturday 20 | Stage 3 (sector 2): Pola de Laviana – Pola de Laviana (73.9 km).
Sunday 21 | Stage 4: Factoría Elzinc – Pola de Lena (87.7 km).
