It feels like home. It feels like being among friendly people and familiar faces, places in which you grew up pedaling. It feels like that on the day of the Tre Valli Varesine: a race at home, crossing the areas dear to our main sponsor Eolo and the roads that have seen our Ivan Basso train every day to build his victories.

And it is obvious that this is never a normal race, for all these reasons but also because the season is coming to an end and the team is so keen to try until the end. Chasing a victory that would be a dream.

The calendar offers two important races, a prelude to the Giro di Lombardia that will arrive on Saturday. It starts on Tuesday with the Tre Valli Varesine, the home coesa precisely: a challenging circuit with the Montello climb to act as a selection and a starting list of the highest level. Two days later, here is Gran Piemonte to offer its most linear profile through the beauty of a unique area.

EOLO KOMETA will be there, with a competitive lineup ready to follow up on the beautiful things shown at the CRO Race and the Giro dell’Emilia: winning is always difficult, trying until the end is an obligation for a team like ours.

I know the organizers very well, I know every meter of the route very well because those roads were the scene of my training sessions as a professional cyclist and now they continue to be the places of my pedaling that help me find ideas and stimuli for this new role in the team.
