The main day of the race did not disappoint, with a mountainous terrain and the breakaway in which Daniel Viegas was the protagonist. The breakaway reached more than 3 minutes, but without the approval of the peloton to open more road and neutralised at the halfway point of the stage.

The decisive zone arrived, with a constant up and down, terrain for climbers. The blue team could not be in the fight for the leading positions, with a high level and the solo win for Yates (BikeExchange).

Jesús Hernández: “The team has ridden well in this Vuelta a Castilla y León. Yesterday with the double top-15, today with presence in the breakaway and up to three riders in one of the groups that wanted to fight the final part. Fedeli didn’t have his best day, he felt the heat and couldn’t fulfil his mission. I want to clap Sergio, Alex and above all Edward, who were able to be at the level expected of them”.
