Sergio Hernández cerró con victoria la Challenge de Asturias
Sergio Hernández inauguró su particular palmarés de la temporada con una trabajada victoria en la tercera y última jornada de la Challenge del Principado de Asturias Junior, donde el Flex-Fundación Alberto Contador brilló gracias también a la segunda plaza en la general de José Félix Parra y la victoria en la general por equipos, sin olvidar el maillot de primer asturiano que se llevó Eduardo Pérez Landaluce.
La Challenge se caracterizó por una gran dureza, acentuada por la lluvia y el frío de las dos primeras jornadas, lo que dio aún más valor a la lucha frente al potente equipo portugués Bairrada, que logró el liderato desde el primer día con Gonzalo Carvalho y ya no lo soltó, a pesar de la dura batalla presentada por los hombres de Félix García Casas y, en especial, de José Félix Parra, que estuvo muy cerca del primer lugar del podio.
El domingo, en la tercera y última etapa, el Flex se la jugó con un ataque de lejos a cargo de Sergio Hernández, que se marchó en solitario en el descenso del Cordal para amenazar seriamente el liderato de los portugueses. Sergio llegó a ser líder virtual, pero llegó la reacción por detrás y al final se tuvo que conformar con una victoria de etapa que dejó muy arriba el maillot de la Fundación Alberto Contador.
El fin de semana lo completó Joan Bou para los juniors del Flex con una victoria en Sax. Bou se clasificó en segundo lugar pero fue el primer junior de una prueba puntuable para la Copa de Alicante, que también lidera en su categoría.

The weekend was completed by Joan Bou for Flex junior with a victory in Sax. Bou was ranked second but was the first junior, scoring in the Cup of Alicante, which is the leader in the junior category.
