Varied terrain and a long time trial in the four days of Valencia

A new edition of the Volta a Valencia-Trofeo Diputación, the eighth of an event where the Polartec-Kometa U23 arrives with a very complete team formed by Daniele Cantoni, José Antonio García, Carlos García, Sergio García, Joan Martí Bennassar, Jorge Pastor and Alejandro Ropero. A formation with the highest aspirations in all the battles, in the fight for the general classification and in the partial victories. A squad to be very protagonists in a race where the teams of the land compete with an extra motivation.

“The season is going quite well and I hope that things will continue as they have in recent months. In the Vuelta a Valencia there are two stages that I personally have my eye on”, says José Antonio García, who has reached the Valencia round with five victories in the ranking and with the recent announcement of his jump to the continental Polartec-Kometa.

The Valencian race, promoted by its territorial federation, presents a varied route in which it stands out and points out that the time trial to be held on Saturday will be crucial. No less than 21 kilometres from and to Lliria. An important event for a great specialist in the discipline like Joan Martí Bennassar, bronze medal in the time trial of his category in the past Spanish cycling championships.

The six punctuated climbs of the second stage, with much protagonism of the Alto Turia, and the circuit of the last one, in a festive Moncada that will live its patron saint festivities and will propose nine turns with some altimetric ambushes, emerge as the other two great stages. “The stage of the Alto Turia is the queen of this edition and the toughest to be held since the Volta has existed,” said Amadeo Olmos, president of the Federation.
