Giovanni Lonardi

Born in 1996 and a native of Verona, Giovanni was the protagonist of the first victory of 2022 for EOLO KOMETA, at the debut in Valencia. In his palmares, in addition to this victory, are a stage at the Tour de Taiwan and one at the Tour of Thailand (2019), a stage at the Tour of Antalya (2020), and a stage at the Tour of Bulgaria (2021). Sprinter, able to hold out on the not-too-hard climbs and then give everything in the sprint. His 2023 saw a difficult start, but a great and steady growth that saw him star in the second half of the season with a series of placings. Many near victories, including in competitions with the world’s strongest sprinters, and a positive attitude that earned him confirmation for 2024. “I got on well here right from the start, I liked the approach to the work from the very first moment and a beautiful relationship was created with teammates and all the staff: it’s logical that I’m overjoyed to continue this path, this project.” He will never forget his victory in a stage of the Giro d’Italia Under23, he becomes crazy about pizza, and in his spare time he loves to help his family with their work in the countryside. The place of his heart? Two: his village, Marano di Valpolicella, and also La Romana (Santo Domingo) where he has been on vacation.
