Erik comes from the world of mountain biking, a discipline in which he became national youth champion in 2018. That same year he won the Short Track Cross Country (XCC) at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires (Argentina). In 2019 he decided to dedicate himself to the road, with his team in the Tour de l’Avenir, a race in which he finished 53rd. Also took part in the Tour of Hungary and the Tour of Sibiu, and after getting to know EOLO-Kometa thanks to a training camp he attended with his cycling federation, Fetter was able to become the team’s new rider for the 2020 season. Despite a year affected by the pandemic, the Hungarian rider impressed, everyone, especially in a Tour de l’Ain where he did it really well in the first stage. Weeks later, with the Giro Under-23 on the horizon, he was the victim of a crash near Esztergom that forced him to end his season. In 2021, Erik confirmed himself with a great season culminated with a stage win at the Tour du Limousin. The year 2022 saw him to great acclaim in the Hungarian stages of the Giro d’Italia, which started in his native Budapest. The year 2023 saw him take part in the CRO Race, while in the Giro d’Italia he was forced to withdraw due to a severe flu. What he remembers most is the victory in Limousin, while his favourite dishes are Máglyarakás and Lángos (typical Hungarian cuisine). His favourite places are his hometown, Pilisvörösvár, and Livigno.
