Polartec-Kometa u23 confirms its squad for next season

Fourteen cyclist will make up the squad of the Polartec-Kometa sub23 for 2019, a squad that will present six new riders with respect to the current course, although one of them, the Italian Alessandro Fancellu, recent bronze medal in the world championships of his category held in Innsbruck, had been confirmed recently.

The Riojan Arturo Grávalos (Caja Rural), the Asturian Eduardo Pérez-Landaluce (Cafés Baqué) and Yago Segovia (Kuota-Paulino), the Italian Alessio Acco (G. C. Romagnano) and the Catalan Álex Martín (Polartec-Kometa júnior) complete, together with Fancellu (24 April 2000), the reinforcement section of the Fundación Alberto Contador team. “We are going to have a quite compensated team, with many and very good climbers. Eduardo Pérez-Landaluce (May 1, 1998) returns to a sports structure of the Fundación Alberto Contador after having been part of the junior team in 2015. “In the Euskadi Foundation he took a giant step; this year perhaps he has lived a more transitional season, but he is a cyclist who can give us a lot, for example with distant offensives”. Yago Segovia (27 November 1999) is also a very complete rider. “With an all-terrain profile”, condenses García Casas. “This season has shown us that he is a tireless cyclist, a great worker”, concludes Díaz Justo.
