Pablo García and Gabriele Bessega open the Volta Galicia on the top10

The explosive inIcIal time trial of the Volta a Galicia marked the first differences in a day in which the rain complicated the discipline. Pablo García and Gabriele Bessega set times within the top ten.

Pablo García was among the first riders to take the start while Gabriele was the last of the team to do so. The threat of rain forced to review the starting order of the riders. The rider from Madrid set the best provisional time with a time of 9:33. His reference was the best during most of the day. Antonio González was one of the cyclists affected by the rain. The young Spaniard suffered a fall and had to change bikes, losing valuable time. Gabriele Bessega completed an exceptional time trial just five seconds behind his teammate García, which was good enough for ninth place.
