Nil Aguilera is fourth overall after the double sector with Balint Feldhoffer, David Puente, Álex García and Lucas Guillermo also in the top 10
XVII Volta ao Concelho de Loulé Juniores
Stage 2 (a): Loulé – Loulé (87 km)
Stage 2 (b): Loulé – Loulé (12 km CRE)
Barcelona’s Nil Aguilera was one of the main protagonists of the first sector of the Portuguese race. The rider from Igualada embodied a solo ride that allowed him to lead the development of the race with more than two minutes over a chasing peloton in which Bairrada worked hard to reduce the difference. A bid to dynamite the general classification and to anticipate other challenges.

Catapulted by his team, leader Antonio Morgado made a move on the first climb of the day and began a comeback that allowed him to catch Aguilar around kilometre 49. Together they rode for a few kilometres, but Morgado finally went solo.
Aguilera was then caught by the Bairrada duo of Daniel Lima and Gonçalo Tavares. The Lusitanian duo also dropped Aguilera, who was able to reach the finish with the Russian Laptev, with whom he arrived more than two minutes behind the winner in a remarkable fifth position.
