Marcel Camprubí and Arnau Gilabert, among the nine riders who stand out after the Garbí climb

Stage 2: Estivella – Estivella (133 km)
The very hard Alto del Garbí, with its ramps of up to 22% in the last twenty kilometres of the second stage of the Volta a la Provincia de Valencia, made the race very selective, dynamited the previous situation of a breakaway at the front, and stimulated the creation of a leading group of nine riders, including Arnau Gilabert and Marcel Camprubí.
These nine riders managed to reach the last straight in Estivella, with more than half a minute over the most immediate pursuers. The stage, and at the same time the provisional lead, went to Frenchman Thibaud Saint-Guilhem (Aix-en-Provence). Camprubí is third in the fight for yellow, with Gilabert in fourth position.
This Saturday the race arrives in Titaguas with a stage of terrain much more complicated than the altimetric profile reflects and with the ascent to Montalbana within the final ten kilometres.
