Davide Piganzoli and Fernando Tercero are called up by Italy and Spain for the Tour de l’Avenir

Two riders of the U23 structure will compete in the 2022 edition of the Tour de l’Avenir, the race that takes place on French soil and that is the equivalent of the Tour de France for amateur or formative cycling. Davide Piganzoli and Fernando Tercero have been called up by the Italian and Spanish federations, respectively, to take part in the event.
The Tour de l’Avenir, which is disputed by national squads and closes the calendar of the U23 Nations Cup, will be disputed between August 18 and 28 on a route of more than 2,700 kilometres that faces the Gallic country from the west to its Alpine epilogue. The race starts with a prologue against the clock and will feature a team time trial on the fifth day. In addition, there will be a lot of mid-mountains and the toughest orography will be concentrated in the last three days.
Fernando Tercero will share the team with Igor Arrieta, Alejandro Franco, Jon Barrenetxea, Iván Romero and Enekoitz Azparren. Davide Piganzoli, on his side, travels with an ‘azzurra’ in which Lorenzo Milesi, Alberto Bruttomesso, Davide Dapporto, Alessio Martinelli and the rider of the professional EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team Alessandro Fancellu are also present.
