Brave Erik Fetter in Larciano
GP Industria & Artigianato
Larciano-Larciano (192’7km)
A start with more than 50km covered in the first hour, it was difficult to form the breakaway of the race. The EOLO Kometa riders didn’t manage to filter through, but Sergio Garcia, Edward Ravasi (dropped due to a mechanical problem) and Erik Fetter were able to be 11º at the end.
Erik Fetter: “Today’s race was very fast from start to finish. But the team did a good job to put me in the best possible place in the bunch before the climbs. I had good legs, so I tried to attack with two laps to go. We made a good group of 20-25 riders, on the last lap there were a lot of attacks but Ulissi’s move with 1km to go was the right one. In the sprint I was close to the top-10, it’s not the best result but I think we are on the right way and I think it’s a good day for the team”.
