Paul Double

A climber who made an immediate impact as a stagiaire, coming from Human Powered Health team, Brit Paul is a force to be reckoned with when the road turns skyward. Paul impressed during the Tour of Slovenia 2022 where he often rode in the wheel of two-time Tour de France champion Tadej Pogačar. A spate of top tens followed, culminating in a stage victory at the Tour of Bulgaria that year. In 2023, he managed to be sixth in the queen stage of Tour de Langkawi, same place in the overall, as well as top-10 in the hardest stages of the races he took part during the season. The son of a racer, Paul was born in Winchester, on a farm perfect for all kinds of fun. Then, he worked part-time in a café and built himself a budget bicycle at the start of his racing journey. Having found success, he then took a relatively unconventional pathway into the sport compared to many other British pros. Not developing through the UK’s world famous talent program, but instead playing his trade on continental teams. He rode in Italy, in Colpack team. This made Paul adaptable on and off the bike. He also has a penchant for singing and songwriting, as he play guitar on his spare time. His favourite meal, if we can say that, is… pistachio bomboloni with coffee. His ideal holidays are anywhere, always with good food and company, sun preferable.
