Daniel Tenorio
U23
In the face of a project that was substantially renewed with a view to 2024, Tenorio became the sixth rider who will face the change of category under the orders of Rafa Díaz Justo next season. Winner of the final overall and two stages of the last edition of the Volta a Portugal U19, Tenorio had very good performances in a season in which he has competed with GSport+Vatios and during which he has been able to face some commitments in the U23 category with Team El Bicho, with which he participated in the last Vuelta Ciclista a Madrid. A student of a degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering at the Carlos III University of Madrid, Tenorio is a relatively recent cyclist with origins in triathlon. His first outstanding performances came in the combined sport, the same one where his sisters Julia and María stand out thanks to the Ciempozuelos Triathlon Club. “I started triathlon in 2019, but during the pandemic Jorge Recuero told me that I was doing very well on the bike and encouraged me to try this discipline more exclusively. When I finished the confinement I ended up signing up for Entrenamiento Ciclismo. It was the first time that I had touched a road bike, so to speak. It didn’t go badly. The following season, in August 2021, I ended up winning the Vuelta al Besaya cadet and I began a path that I have followed until today”, he points out.
