Last Sunday at the Veneto Classic and with the final stage of the Tour of Turkey, the 2023 season came to an end. This Tuesday, all the efforts of the Alberto Contador Foundation ProTeam are focused on preparing the 2024 season with enthusiasm. The arrival of Polti as main sponsor, exciting additions to the squad with Paul Double, Jhonatan Restrepo or Manuel Peñalver… Everything is starting to take shape, even if there is still a lot of work ahead.
Meanwhile, once both cyclists and technical staff have arrived in Malta, the land of the sponsor Visit Malta will be the setting for five days in which, in addition to laying the goals for 2024, different meetings and encounters with the authorities will take place.
With the clear objective of reinforcing the commitment with Visit Malta, strengthening ties and consolidating the very positive collaboration that has been forged so far, there will be a Press Conference addressed by the Minister for Tourism of Malta, Hon. Clayton Bartolo. A “Meet & Greet” with the CEO of Visit Malta, Carlo Micallef, is also planned.
In addition to the test of products, brands and components, the team members will have the opportunity to discover the island of Malta and also to do some team building in order to strengthen the relationship between all the members of the ProTeam structure. An end-of-season training camp with a different objective, bringing together all the members of the team to lay the foundations for the 2024 season.
The rest of the renewals and signings, as well as additions in the field of sponsors, will be unveiled in the coming days during this concentration with the presence of the manager Fran Contador and Ivan Basso.
