Tour de Gironde: “A great and very nice experience for all of us”

International experience of many carats for a very young team. The junior structure of the Contador Foundation concluded this Sunday its participation in an edition of the Tour de Gironde of tyrannical domination of the Belgian formation Acrog, with full of partial victories and in the final general for them. Liam Van Bylen won the last fraction, ahead of his teammate Sentee Sentjens, the winner of this 2023 edition.

The day did not comment well, as Iván Polo did not take the start. The final day was very controlled by the leader’s team, who did not want any surprises, although there was a succession of movements throughout the day. In the last 20 kilometres, in an attack by the very active Paul Seixas (in the end, sixth overall), the Bilbao rider Iker Díaz did not hesitate to explore his options. “The whole day has gone very fast, at full speed. The race has been a great and very nice experience for all of us”, he points out.
