A team time trial and the geography of the Alto Palancia will solve this weekend of the Trofeo Víctor Cabedo

The Trofeo Víctor Cabedo faces the resolution of its 2022 edition with the dispute, in its second and last weekend, of the last two races that compose its proposal. For the closing of the Castellón race the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team youth introduces two changes in his ‘eight’: Pedro García and Manuel Sanroma. Joan Cadena, Joel Díaz, Álex García, Lucas Guillermo, Alem Herráiz and César Pérez complete the team directed by Guillermo Gutiérrez.

On Saturday afternoon, the traditional team time trial will be held in the streets of Vila-real, six kilometres always intense in a discipline that is not very common in the state calendar of the category and that, within the Trofeo Cabedo, has become a reference. It is a flat time trial in terms of orography, with the complexities of urban routes in terms of twists and turns and roundabouts.

And on Sunday, for the closing, a Trofeo Entradas de Toros y Caballos in Segorbe that emerges as the most demanding race of this edition due to the orographic particularities of the route with the passes through the Puerto de Matet (twice: km 13 and km 78), the Puerto de Torás and the Puerto de Teresa. The race returns with Pau Martí at the head of the provisional general classification. Joel Díaz and César Pérez are in fifth and sixth position, 33 seconds behind the Valencian rider. Lucas Guillermo is fourteenth, 41 seconds behind, and Álex García is seventeenth, 46 seconds behind.
