Andrea Montoli and Andrea Pietrobon accumulate ‘stagiaires’ kilometres with the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team ProTeam in the Coppa Agostoni

The riders of the U23 Andrea Montoli and Andrea Pietrobon competed this Thursday as stagiaires with the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team in an edition 2022 of the Coppa Agostoni in which again was decisive the ascent to Colle Brianza and in which the Dutchman Sjoerd Bax (Alpecin-Fenix) won. Davide Bais, 18th, was the best rider of the ProTeam structure of the Contador Foundation.

Montoli was very attentive in the early stages, looking to filter into the breakaways and managing to ride temporarily in one of them. Pietrobon, who could not make his debut as a stagiaire a few days ago due to the suspension of the Marco Pantani Memorial for weather reasons, finally made his debut on Thursday with a great work in support of his teammates.

Andrea Pietrobon: “It was a complicated day, with a lot of uphill, but with a lot of rain. I really like the water, it’s a race situation that I love, and I really enjoyed it. On the last lap, on the first of the two final climbs, I lost contact with the group. At the end of the day I had been out of competition for a month and I lacked a bit of rhythm. That’s why I think this day will be good for me ahead of the Coppa Bernocchi, next Monday”.
