Fernando Tercero: “As expected, it was a very fast day. The initial part of the circuit had a quite technical downhill where it was important to ride at the front. On the climb to Bettex Groupama-FDJ set a very high pace and left the peloton with very few riders. For my part, it was better than I expected, as I was a bit uncertain after having been stopped for a few days because of the COVID-19”.
This Thursday, the second stage starts and finishes in Saint-Christophe and its route begins to present the first orographic chained sections of the Italian race. There are sure to be offensives in the fight for the general classification and also attacks in search of a partial victory. In Aosta, every day is a new adventure.
