Gobik presents the new ProTeam equipment of the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team
The first project in the ProTeam category of the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team shows its new skin. After a small advance in the last days of 2020, the professional structure of the Contador Foundation presents what will be its new equipment, made by the Murcian firm Gobik.
The Invincible jersey model and the Absolute culotte by Gobik, evolved from previous seasons and always with the aim of improving performance in high competition, will be the basis of a dress in which the blue, EOLO’s corporate colour, takes a great role. The jersey also features green, a true reflection of KOMETA’s identity.
“This is going to be the third season of collaboration with Gobik and in these three years they have always conceived unique and recognisable outfits that, in the race, presented excellent performance. Of course the new EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team clothing will follow this path. I think it’s an outfit that perfectly embodies our main sponsors and, beyond the competition, I think it’s going to be very popular”, says Fran Contador, general manager of the team.
“One of the signs of identity of Gobik is its design. In their creative department they are always thinking about how to innovate, how to surprise, how not to leave people indifferent. And all this is very important, even more so when we talk about a sport like cycling in which the image factor always has a major weight. For me this new equipment is very special because it is the uniform of the ProTeam project, but I honestly believe that we are in front of one of the most beautiful and recognizable jerseys of the peloton”, explains Ivan Basso, sport manager of the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team and ambassador of Gobik in Italy.
Based in Yecla, Murcia, Gobik is one of the most prominent brands in the global cycling textile sector. A prominence generated in barely a decade thanks to the quality of its products, its innovative designs, its dealings with customers and its support for different sports initiatives, from teams to stage leader jerseys, such as the centenary Volta a Catalunya or the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana.
