Albanese, and those fighting feelings

After a stage like this, two feelings are fighting inside my soul. There is, strong and decisive, the satisfaction for having seen once again that Vincenzo Albanese grows day after day and gets closer and closer to a condition that will allow him to win. But there is also a little bit of regret, for a placement – once again – that forces to postpone the appointment with the first triumph.

The first stage of the Tour of The Alps, perhaps the least demanding from the altimetrical point of view, tells this story: the breakaway of the day that arrives to take 7’30” advantage, the return of the group that however doesn’t succeed in recovering on Geoffrey Bouchard: sole survivor of the group of fugitives and victorious on the finish line with a handful of seconds on the pursuers. Fourth, and first of the Italians, our Vincenzo Albanese.
