Next stop: the Giro del Medio Brenta and its complicated route through the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni
35º Giro del Medio Brenta
Villa del Conte – Gállio (171,6 km)
Tour de France days. The Grande Boucle is all-consuming in terms of media coverage. But there is competitive life beyond the French race and the next sporting commitment of the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team is an unbeatable example. This Sunday a new edition of the Giro del Medio Brenta arrives, race of a day with a very interesting route that adapts to perfection to the profile of several riders of the ProTeam structure of the Foundation. A commitment to compete without complexes and with the maximum ambition.
Davide Bais, Mattia Frapporti, Sergio García, Arturo Grávalos, Luca Pacioni, Samuele Rivi and Luca Wackermann make up a Spanish-Italian team that faces the race organised by the Veloce Club Villa del Conte, which takes its name from a river that flows into the Adriatic. The route is very interesting, with an essentially flat first part and a second part, starting from Bassano del Grappa, in which it is necessary to climb up to the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni (Plateau of the Seven Municipalities) to face a final circuit around the finish line in Gallio.
Mattia Frapporti has experience in this race, where he took part a few years ago (2015). A participation about which he is questioned: “It is a race in which I have competed and I can remember that it was one of the most beautiful from a scenic point of view. In sporting terms, it is a difficult race to interpret because of the demanding route and the climb up to the Altiplano de Asiago, but especially because of the final circuit. The team continues to grow and evolve and both my team-mates and I will do our best to be protagonists in the development of the race and to be able to achieve a good result”.
