Christian’s ride makes EOLO-KOMETA beautiful

And this time it was the greats who did battle: Yates versus Bernal, the victory of this Giro at stake. To one (Yates) went the stage win, to the other (Bernal) the first round in the defense of the pink jersey: tomorrow we’ll repeat with the last uphill arrival.

Yes, well: but what about the EOLO-KOMETA? A show, as usual. A show called Mark Christian, very good to go in the breakaway of the day and tenacious as a fighter to surrender for last, when there were few kilometers to go, sucked by the big ones who were fighting to win the Giro. A show named Lorenzo Fortunato, still splendid in staying glued to the strongest and able to arrive 19th on the finish line.  And his splendid Giro continues: now in general Fortunato is in 16th place.

Tomorrow, last mountain stage before the final time trial in Milan: and what a stage. 164 kilometers from Verbania to Alpe Motta, with three first category GPM. Enjoy it.

Lorenzo Fortunato: “I suffered, I struggled, but I did everything to stay with the best and in the end I’m happy. The climb was quite hard, but above all we did it at full speed. Tomorrow? Now I think to recover well, and we’ll see what will happen: for sure I like the stage very much, and I want to try something”.
