Four new Hungarian riders in the training camp of the Kometa Cycling Team of Oliva Nova
The continental Kometa Cycling Team returns this Friday to the facilities of Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort to begin a second and final pre-season concentration that precedes the great presentation of all the sports structures of the Fundación Alberto Contador, next February 4, and the debut in competition of the structure directed by Jesús Hernández and Dario Andriotto two days later, in the Vuelta Ciclista a la Comunitat Valenciana.
In this new meeting, and as in the December meeting, up to four young talents of Hungarian cycling will once again be present, invited by the team to ride with the eleven members of the continental staff on the roads of the Valencia Region in a firm commitment to collaborate with the growth and development of cycling in this country.
Two of them, Ferenç Szöllosi (1998) and Hunor Mate Kiss (1999) are by no means unknown to the team. Both were already present at the training camp prior to Christmas and a start of the year where they have focused on cyclo-cross. Now Karl Adam (1999) and Gabor Molnar (1999) join the team, who at the age of 18 finished eighth in the third stage of the Magyar round.
“I don’t see the chance to start. All that grassroots work, in such a sweet place and with such good company,” says Szöllosi. “Although I’m a little scared because the team will have to finish its preparation for its first race and for us this first race of the year will not arrive until March, so his level will be very high. “I’m looking forward to this new training camp”, says Mate Kiss.
