Michel Ries and Matteo Moschetti, stagiaires with the Trek-Segafredo

The 20-year-old Ries has made his mark this season with a ninth place finish at the Giro d’Italia U23 and interesting performances in races with top-level formations, including WorldTour, such as the Vuelta a Aragón in Spain and the Tour de France at l´Ain. “Michel Ries is a strong climber that we were following closely for a while now”, said Luca Guercilena, general manager of his new squad.

Moschetti, on the other hand, is facing his second experience with a Trek-Segafredo in which he already rode as a stagiaire last season. His seven wins this season have earned him a two-year contract, starting on Jan. 1. “He has made a big step forward, and we’re curious to see him racing with the team again”, says Guercilena.
