El equipo logra el triunfo en la Copa de España Junior
El Flex-Fundación Alberto Contador ganó la Copa de España junior, con Ballesteros y Alcaide como mejores hombres
El Flex-Fundación Alberto Contador ganó este fin de semana la Copa de España por equipos, tras jugarse el todo por el todo en la sexta y última prueba, el G.P. Cervera, donde Ballesteros y Alcaide, sus mejores hombres en la general individual ocuparon, respectivamente, la segunda y tercera plazas del podio. La carrera resultó emocionante desde el principio, con una estrategia muy agresiva por parte de los corredores de Félix García Casas, que mandó por delante a Barceló, Ángel Fuentes y Sevilla, a la espera del ataque de Ballesteros, que logró descolgar al líder, Sureda, a unos 35 km para la meta. Sin embargo, la maniobra no cuajó, aunque todavía lo intentaron una segunda vez, también sin éxito. Al final, Sureda consiguió entrar en el grupo de cabeza y logró la victoria al sprint de un primer grupo, mientras Ballesteros y Alcaide se tuvieron que conformar con las siguientes plazas del podio, si bien el espectáculo ofrecido por los corredores del Flex mereció con creces esa victoria por equipos en la Copa de España. Durante la semana también se produjeron las victorias de Miguel Ángel Ballesteros en el Campeonato de Murcia (quinto en la carrera), que viene a ratificar la gran temporada del murciano, y la de Javier Hernández en Moral de Calatrava, donde sólo tuvo el apoyo de otro compañero de equipo, José Félix Parra, a pesar de lo cual Hernández consiguió un gran triunfo.
