Nuevas victorias del equipo, Longares y Comillas
El Specialized-Fundación Alberto Contador sumó dos nuevos triunfos este fin de semana gracias a las victorias de Fernando Barceló en el Campeonato de Aragón de contra reloj y de Pablo Noriega en el V Trofeo de Comillas (Cantabria).
El aragonés Fernando Barceló consiguió el sábado su tercer triunfo de la temporada al proclamarse el mejor contrarrelojista de su región en la localidad de Longares, sobre un recorrido de 17 kilómetros. El ciclista del Specialized-Fundación Alberto Contador aventajó en 15 segundos a Rafael Mindan y en 21 segundos a Sergio Samitier, segundo y tercer clasificados, respectivamente.
El domingo, en Cantabria, se disputó el V Trofeo Ciudad de Comillas sobre un recorrido que resultó espectacular gracias tanto al empeño de los corredores como a la magnífica climatología.
El Specialized-Fundación Alberto Contador tomó la salida con 12 corredores y las únicas ausencias de Barceló, que había corrido en su tierra, y de Víctor Aguado, que está recuperándose de una tendinitis en la rodilla.
La carrera fue muy disputada, con continuas alternativas y fugas hasta que se hizo la definitiva, a falta de 30 kilómetros y en la penúltima de las cuatro vueltas que se dieron al circuito de Comillas. En esta escapada se metieron cuatro corredores, dos del Bathco, Pablo Salido y el panameño Cristofer Jurado, y otros dos del Specialized, Iosu Angoitia y Pablo Noriega, que corría en casa.
Hubo entendimiento entre los cuatro fugados y llegaron juntos al final, jugándose el triunfo al sprint. Angoitia fue generoso en el trabajo para su compañero, lanzándole el sprint, y éste, corriendo ante su público, coronó la gran actuación del equipo con su primer triunfo del año, que vino a recompensarle por el trabajo realizado hasta ahora para sus compañeros.

The Specialized-Alberto Contador Foundation added two new wins this weekend thanks to the victories of Fernando Barceló in Aragon’s Time Trial Championship, and Pablo Noriega in the V Trofeo de Comillas (Cantabria).
Fernando Barceló got on Saturday his third win of the season when proclaiming the best time trialist in his region in the town of Longares, over a distance of 17 kilometers. The Specialized-Alberto Contador Foundation cyclist overcame Rafael Mindan and Sergio Samitier in 15 and 21 seconds, respectively.
On Sunday, in Cantabria, was disputed the V Trofeo Ciudad de Comillas on a route that was spectacular thanks to the efforts of both riders and the magnificent weather.
The Specialized-Alberto Contador Foundation took the start with 12 riders and the only absences of Barceló, who had run in his homeland, and Victor Aguado, who is recovering from knee tendinitis.
The race was hotly contested, with continuous alternatives and breaks until the definitive, at 30 kilometers to go, in the penultimate lap of four over the circuit of Comillas. On this break were four riders, two from Bathco Team, Pablo Salido and the Panamanian Cristofer Jurado, and two men from the Specialized, Iosu Angoitia and Pablo Noriega, that ran at home.
There was understanding among the four escapees and reached together the end, playing the win at the sprint. Angoitia was generous for his companion and worked for him in the sprint, while Noriega, running in front of his supporters, crowned the great performance of the team with his first victory of the season, which came to reward him for the work done so far for his teammates.
