Davide de Cassan

Here is one of the new faces for the upcoming season, although Davide has already had a taste of the pro world with his first races as a stagiaire in an EOLO-KOMETA jersey (able to show off in an important race like the Giro dell’Emilia). Born in 2002 in Riva del Garda, not far from where his brothers Davide and Mattia Bais were born, Davide De Cassan raced for three years with Cycling Team Friuli and in 2023 achieved important results that earned him the call from EOLO KOMETA. “When I was a child I used to watch cycling on TV and there were Basso and Contador who put on a show: imagine what it means for me to wear the jersey of the team founded by them.” De Cassan is a climber who likes long climbs without too steep inclines or sudden changes of pace. “I want to learn, I want to learn from everyone and take something from everyone. I will put all the effort I can and even a little more, because I know it will not be easy: my first experiences with the Pro world have already made me realize that everything is different. It’s different the way teams control the race, which feels like playing a playstation. And it’s different that when you open the throttle, you really go hard.”
