Polti Kometa presents its new Gsport kit for 2024

The professional, under-23 and junior Polti Kometa teams will wear Gsport kits for at least the next three seasons. An agreement that coincides with the change of name and design of the kit with which the three teams of the Alberto Contador Foundation will compete in the best races around the world.

Gsport is not only a cycling clothing brand, it is a company that offers its own production. In their facilities they cover the entire process of development and manufacture of the cycling kits, an advantage that differentiates them from other brands, while allowing them to create high quality clothes for riders.

Proactive, collaborative and flexible, they have known how to develop in recent years, responding to the desires and needs of the cycling community, offering the opportunity to live the best experiences to all those who trust them.

At Gsport, the aim is to accompany cyclists in all stages of their lives and to support their passion, challenges, successes and failures. By dressing everyone who understands cycling as a way of life, whether professionally or as a hobby in which to discover landscapes and create friendships.

The arrival of Polti as the team’s main sponsor has led to the conception of a new design for the cycling kits. Respecting the corporate colours of the main sponsors (red, green and blue), a new bright and colourful kit has been created that will stand out in the peloton.

As a nod to the legendary Team Polti, the same animal print pattern we used to see the Italian team in (yellow and green) has been used, but in a much more subtle way. This pattern is used on the base of the jersey in a very light shade of green, as a slight reminder of the past. As for the bib shorts, the colour red will take centre stage. The daring touch that will make this design go down in history.

In 2024, the Polti Kometa will use a wide repertoire of clothes and accessories from the Gsport Custom range, adapted to the high competition and demands of professional cycling. Their clothing includes maillots, bib shorts, jackets, waistcoats, coveralls, waterproof clothes and more.

As part of their main equipment, the Polti Kometa cyclists will wear PRO SKIN bib shorts and a new maillot developed exclusively for the team, whose most particular characteristics lie in the waistband, highly technical fabrics and flat seams. The Pro Skin bib shorts are one of the most characteristic model of the Gsport brand where the cuffs disappear and the seams are minimised to the maximum, looking for the sensation of a second skin.

“It is an honour for the entire Gsport team to be part of this project,” says the Spanish brand. “It is a real privilege to be part of cycling history with the return of the legendary Team Polti. We have worked on the development of cycling kit and accessories that adapt as much as possible to the demands of professional cycling. Our philosophy, “made by cyclists, for cyclists“, means that we are fully involved with each rider and do our bit to make their season as easy as possible, from a textile point of view”.

Fran Contador, general manager of the Alberto Contador Foundation teams, also values this agreement: “From the first time we met and discussed the possibility of working together there was total harmony with Gsport, both parties were very keen to start working together. Once the agreement was closed, we are really happy. Their desire and motivation make us feel important and I hope that they already feel the project as part of their own. This is the beginning of a three-year relationship that we hope to extend for many more years in order to achieve the goals that both parties have set for ourselves. We want to grow together to the top”.
